Is Your Plumbing Ready for the Holidays?

February 2, 2026

It’s the middle of the holiday season and guests are on their way to your home. It’s important to make sure that your plumbing system is ready for the extra activity. At Roberts Plumbing Hydro Jet & Rooter, we offer these tips to help you get your plumbing system ready. Our team is always available to perform any plumbing repairs you need.

USE SINK TRAPS

Place sink traps to catch food debris in the kitchen sink. They’re available in silicone, rubber, and metal mesh options. You should also use these traps in the bathroom. They’ll catch hair and shards of soap. Clean out the traps once per day. Using these traps will decrease your need for urgent plumbing services.

CHECK YOUR WATER HEATER

If you’re hosting guests, they’ll all be taking baths or showers. They’ll also be washing their hands. You may end up with extra laundry, too. Make sure your water heater’s thermostat is set to the right temperature. If your water heater doesn’t have enough capacity or seems to be leaking, our plumbing company is ready to help you with an immediate repair service.

Roberts Plumbing Hydro Jet & Rooter is the trusted provider of emergency plumbing repairs. Our plumbers are always available to provide you with helpful advice. For more details on how to get your home’s plumbing ready for the holidays or any other part of the year, give us a call or fill out the online form.
